New York drumming icon, Tommy Igoe, has been one of the world’s most in-demand drummers for the last 20 years. He’s toured internationally as a sideman with an incredible variety of artists; including such diverse stars as Patti Austin, Stanley Jordan and folk legend Art Garfunkel. He was responsible for writing the drum book for the blockbuster broadway musical “The Lion King” and has recently become one of the world’s top-selling authors in the music education field. As a leader, he created what is currently the hottest weekly jazz event in New York with his Birdland Big Band.
