Jamie Davis was named the ‘chocolate baritone’ by Sir Michael Parkinson, the BBC’s arbiter of important international jazz, after Jamie’s performance in London with the BBC’s sixty-four piece Orchestra and Big Band. In the past few years, Jamie has produced three solo CD’s, performed at Monterey, Dubai, Sacramento, Aspen, Cheltenham, Edinburgh jazz festivals and the Shakespeare Music Festival in Lake Tahoe. The Count Basie Orchestra gave Jamie the opportunity be ‘on the road’ with one of the greatest big bands as their lead vocalist for three years. Jamie has performed on The Jazz Cruise over the years and it is great to see him returning.
