Person's own magnificent talent was often overlooked because of his association with the phenomenal vocalist. Year after year, poll after poll, it is hard to dispute the popularity of this very special saxophonist and his group. Warm and personable, despite his aloof demeanor, Houston is one of the most popular figures on The Jazz Cruise and was inducted into The Jazz Cruise Hall of Fame in 2006.
