Tom Kennedy is recognized as one of the top jazz bassists today and has been a mainstay of The Jazz Cruise for many years. His credits include performances and recordings with James Moody, Freddie Hubbard, David Sanborn, Woody Shaw, Dave Weckl, Mike Stern, Diane Schurr, Patti Austin, Michael and Randy Brecker, Joe Sample, Margaret Whiting, Rosemary Clooney, Michael Feinstein, and Bobby McFerrin. Starting at 9, by his late teens, he had already performed extensively with such jazz icons as Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Stitt, Barney Kessel, Eddie Harris, Nat Adderly and Stan Kenton. In addition to performing on over 150 recordings and touring internationally, Tom released his solo CDs "Basses Loaded" in 1997, and "Bassics" in 2002. His third solo project "Just for the Record" was released in 2010.
