Internationally renowned bassist and Mack Avenue recording artist, Rodney Whitaker, is a Professor of Jazz Double Bass at Michigan State University and is one of the leading performers and teachers of the jazz double bass in the U.S. In twenty-five years and with one of the most distinctive bear-sized bass tones, Whitaker has collaborated and performed with countless of the greatest jazz legendary artists, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Dianne Reeves, Kathleen Battle, Wynton Marsalis, Gerald Wilson, Marian McPartland, Natalie Cole, Bob James & Pat Methany.
