Clearly a master of both the clarinet and the saxophone, Ken Peplowski has been hailed as the torch bearer of Benny Goodman. From his beginnings with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra to his current worldwide tour schedule, Ken has played with the very best. After a year of college, Ken joined the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra under the direction of Buddy Morrow. In 1980, Ken moved to New York City, and was soon playing everything from Dixieland to avant-garde jazz. Peplowski wound up signing with Concord Records, under the tutelage of Carl Jefferson, the founder and president, and recorded close to 20 albums as a leader. Beginning with The Jazz Cruise 2008, Ken has assumed the duties of Music Director for the cruise and has handled that task with great skill and talent.
