A veteran of many cruises, pianist Shelly Berg is a familiar name to guests of The Jazz Cruise. Currently the Dean of the Frost School of Music at University of Miami, Shelly is also a composer and an arranger thereby bringing a considerable array of talents to the contemporary music scene. Versatility coupled with innate talent has shown to be the keynote of his career. He is also a seven-time ADDY award winner for commercial jingles. Cruise guest and legend Johnny Mandel called Shelly’s orchestrating “magnificent . . . incredible!” In short, Shelly is a magnificent talent and an equally lovely man and cohort. Shelly is an integral part of The Jazz Cruise family.
